Wall Art for the Health Care Industry

www.kevinsink.com

Have you ever noticed the importance of contemporary wall art in the health care industry? I have and so has Kevin Sinks a master at bringing balance back to patients. In his recent article he explains five elements that go into a successful composition for creating images or artwork that people have affinity for. Those elements are:

• Balance

• Depth

• Flow

• Positivity

• Familiarity

Here are a couple of my own pieces that I thought hit those five elements.

Outside the Realm of Contemporary Wall Art

Taking inspiration for contemporary wall art with a visit to a cutting edge museum today. The Adobe Museum of Digital Media is a totally online gallery that opened October of 2010. If you have an art background or art an art enthusiast you’ll appreciate the thought that has gone into this project. Even if you are not thrilled about the exhibit itself you will find that as the curator Tom Eccles said, “Art is about experience and dialog.” In other words you don’t have to like the work in order to benefit from it.

New Artwork

Thought I would share a new piece I've just completed. Enjoy.

Incorporating Wall Art

Contemporary wall art has been a mood elevator for man since the beginning of time. While new approaches in techniques have been forthcoming in our technical age, the art itself continues to provide the same life enhancing benefits as it always has.
A person often takes pride in a beautiful contemporary art piece placed in the home. It can make a room stand out and be the center of attraction. Guests and relatives who visit will gaze at the artwork and talk about its beauty. In fact contemporary wall art can and does elevate moods, set the tone in an office, as well as often becomes the topic of many conversations.
Where do you begin when choosing contemporary wall art for your home’s interior? If you are in an established home, take a look at the rooms furnishings, the colors, the patterns, the style. In the photo below you can see this particular artwork and frame work seamlessly with the room. The abstract background of the art piece emulate the patterns in the chairs fabric as well as in the wood pattern of the coffee table and chairs. The colors of the art are consistent with the furniture and room colors. Had the back wall of the fireplace been stone work rather than the flat gray-blue neither the artwork nor the furniture would have worked as it does here.

If you were to walk into this room with nothing in it the fireplace with its gray flat surrounding would immediately be the focal point. You may chose to go with dark furniture that is accessorized with lighter color pillows. The wall art may have been abstract geometric rather than organic and used a darker palette. It really comes back to what you love.
